The wooden house "Hahn Jakab", built in a style specific to the architecture of Targu Secuiesc, today a historical monument, was built in 1817, the house has been modified several times over the years to its current original form. The former owner, an ethnic Swabian, originally from Timișoara, was a confectioner and laid the foundations for the traditional local product, the famous "gingerbread".
The wooden house "Hahn Jakab" is located on Malom Street. It is often called the gingerbread house by the inhabitants of Targu Secuiesc, because in the past the most delicious gingerbread was made here.
