The Vigadó, built in 1902-1904, which today serves as the town's House of Culture, is located on the north-west side of Gábor Áron Square in the centre of Târgu Secuiesc.
The building has hosted famous actresses such as the nation's leading lady Blaha Lujza. The building's eclectic style still houses an active theatre company.
Vigadó has a theatre with five hundred seats and a meeting room for two hundred people.
The building also houses exhibition spaces and a rehearsal room for a wide range of activities. These include theatre circles, folk dance groups, children's choirs and chamber orchestras, concerts, conferences, scientific presentations, book launches, fine and folk art exhibitions, as well as school events and competitions. The Vigadó Cultural Centre also houses the Municipal Theatre and provides a studio for the city's artists.
